What would you do if your CSM was ignoring uniform and grooming standards? (CSM Flournoy)

So this CSM from the the 8th MP BDE seems to be out of regulations. From the comments she has been corrected but she claims she is being harassed. I don't even understand how she got to be a CSM at a BDE. What COL out there is letting this happen? In one of the photos she is wearing stilettos in uniform. WTF? What kind of example is this. The worst is from a Facebook user that said:
"This one!!!! Holy **** she was in charge of us in Afghanistan!! I could go on and on about this toxic leader!! Trying to maintain professionalism but this one.....when a CSM so jacked up like this, she was laughing her ass off during our rehearsal of my brothers ceremony after he was killed in Afghanistan, she f***ing yelled at me because I "took too long saying my goodbye " as I'm f***ing crying kneeling in front of it. This post will probably get me in trouble, and ruin the rest of my army career as well as my day and my army experience."
What would you do if you were there? What if you were on command?
What should the Army do about this?
(Thanks to Army MP WTF Moments and it's followers for the photos.)

The 8th Theater Sustainment Command CSM will be travelling to the 8th MP BDE to have some one on one time with this CSM. It is amazing as leaders will do when they are being called out. He should have done that a long time ago.

I would have spoken to him or her and addressed the situation and even given them a copy of the uniform regulation that addressed the specific violation. And then probably would have had to fight for my career after but I still would have addressed it because I was an NCO and that was my responsibility

Excellent! An NCO who gets it! Peer pressure first, then later official action. Handle it at the NCO level if at all possible. If not, then CO or if needed, IG.

I am in shock that this took place in 25th Infantry Division my first duty assignment was there in 1981 with the 125th Sig Bn and I will say I learned a lot bout what a leader should be from my NCO's . I learned one of the most important roles as an NCO in my opinion from them that the true test of a NCO was not correcting his subordinates but to have the courage to correct his superiors if needed to ensure they set the right example and proper way for his subordinates to conduct themselves also. Ten years later I learned just how hard that task is and how few NCO's are really willing to risk their comfort or EER to do this with their superiors. I was shocked to see how many would turn their blind eyes to such things or even worse to protect their EER to me that was not the actions that a leader of soldiers who are suppose to trust their lives in the hands of their NCO's should have if an NCO is afraid to correct a wrong because of the fear of a negative EER then how can his soldiers feel safe in following him in combat. Things of this nature should never be left to any lower enlisted soldier to address the NCO is suppose to be the backbone of the Army and any NCO in this CSM's unit or not has the responsibility to address and any action needed to correct this and any situation that is against regulations or reflects poorly on the Army.

As I said earlier, Excellent! You get the big picture and are willing to act on it. NCOs are not just there to look good, and drag down a higher paycheck. They have to be willing to risk their comfort and safety now and again to protect the troops in their command! My old Master Chief often said that if a Chief (E7) was too fond of his anchors to risk them to protect the men under him or her, they ought to just retire immediately and stop being an embarrassment to the Navy. You have two jobs really, train your troops and protect them from those who would harm them for bad reasons. If there is crap to be rolled downhill, that is YOUR job. If there is crap coming down that is not deserved, stopping it from rolling downhill is YOUR job. If you are too cowardly to do that job, retire.

I can still hear my drill sergeant saying " Uh uh, honey, bull shit". DS Johnson would not let anyone, especially women, get away with appearing like that.

Leadership always enforce the standards of AR 670-1 on every Soldier that joins the Army, I've always known the CSM enforces those standards down the chain of command and sets the example of AR 670-1. Lower enlisted Soldiers and officer's must comply to these regulations, if not these Soldiers can be removed for failure to adapt. If our leadership don't feel regulations don't apply to them then we as leaders are destroying the purpose of discipline, order, and purpose. So in other words, tighten it up and drive on, you troops need good leadership.

I remember way back in the 60's we had a SGM who let his appearance go down hill. He was called up before the Post Commander and informed to get his act together or get out. He did straighten up but within a few months he retired.

I do not know this woman, but I do know her type. From reading the information about her she thinks she is above the law/UCMJ. She takes full credit for anything positive that happens with her people, but disowns anything negative that happens with her people.

Let me put it this way... " If a private is jacked up, everyone is quick to correct him/her, but if someone of a higher echelon is also jacked up everyone is hesitant to say something. " That is due to fear of repercussions which people say that does not happen, but honestly THEY DO. This is like coming to work unshaven if comparing it to the men's standards. This is an example of someone reaching the top and not giving a damn anymore because they in charge. The commander should be held accountable. If he lets that slide then he or she is contributing to the problem. But there is one last thing I should ask. Is this the first instance of her being jacked up, or has there been many accounts of her being out of regulation, professionalism ect. Everybody has their off day, say it was running late didn't shave blah blah blah. Good tongue lashing, better not see it again carry on with your day. But if they are jacked up constantly, then I guess someone need to retire.

It sounds to me that her out of regs hair is just a small fraction of her overall failings.

We had a lieutenant show up in our unit under similar circumstances. She wore high heels in khakis, she showed up for command PT in booty shorts and t shirt, no bra, no panties. When she was confronted about her inappropriate dress, she would shout back like she was being picked on. We were sho glad that the females in our leadership took charge of the situation and gave her an ultimatum. Straighten up or find another job. She was a real skank.
