What would you have a new recruit do; before he/she enlisted?

For instance, I would have the new recruit read up on the branch in which he/she enlisted.
I would make sure that the new recruit was in great shape; physically.... mentally, emotionally and spiritually (If that recruit was religious.).
I would also make sure that the new recruit, be ready for a lot of changes; to start off with.

Recruit training is like riding a bicycle. Except the bike is on fire, and so are you, because you are in hell.

MAJ David Wallace - I think your advice is the most rock solid and the best advice that any Soldier could possibly give a new recruit.

Is Something Missing In Your Life?
If you look at your life and feel you need a change, ask yourself what’s missing? In this sermon, Dr. Stanley uses the parable of the rich young man in Mark 10 to address our desire to change and where it comes from. Why the restlessness if all we are meant to do is follow Him?

Thank you, TSgt John Temblador, PI, CIPA. A wondrous video to behold.
It is easier to let go of material things: than to let go and let God.
