When do the new time requirements for promotion go into effect?

I am trying to get to the board for SSG (PSG is all about sending me) however I am not yet Air Assault qualified which is a requirement for the board here at my unit (and the only reason I haven't been). It isn't any fault of my own that I have not been. I have been in classes, TDY, and in the field so much they have not had time to put me into a course. Rigt now with another major training around the corner it seems that I will be at AA school no earlier than Late August or September which means I will likely miss the SEPT board. I know there are new promotion requirements as far as TIS and TIG coming down the pipes but when does that new timeline become reality? Will I still be able to go with just over 4.5 years in?
I am already serving in a 30 level position in my BN so I have the job title and responsibility just not the pay and rocker. This is part of why they want to send me.

Not an answer to your question, but the requirement of being Air Assault to go the promotion board is bogus and is not correct!

I agree. But this is the 101st and BS like that is rampant. I want to go anyway, but I really wish they would A. make time for me to go. Or B. Send me in good faith that I will go to AA school ASAP.

It maybe a bogus answer, but if you're Ft. Campbell, then you know there are 4 classes going on at the same time meaning there is a graduation almost every Thursday or Friday. I was in the same boat when I was there. I couldn't go to the board until I was Air Assault. But just because you're not qualified is no excuse. Its too easy to get into that school. If your PSG was about sending you to the board, then he/she would have sent you AASLT school a long time ago

I have to clarify that my current NCO leadership is.... well... absentee. I just finished a rotation at JRTC where I earned Intel Hero of the Battle so I gained a LOT of wasta here. My OIC is strongly pushing me to the board right now. Sadly I am already booked for ANOTHER TDY to DC at the end of SEPT so another delay in AA school. Frustrating to say the least.
