CDC: U.S. health worker with Ebola should not have flown on commercial jet...no shit?

http://www.cnn.com/2014/10/15/health/texas-ebola-outbreak/index.html

We have doctors going to restaurants when they are supposed to be quarantined, nurse flying across the country after the patient they were watching dies…and their partner is taking herself to the hospital with the same disease…and we are only talking about screening some of the airports? While I am not even talking about how the virus is breaking containment, when are we going to start taking this seriously? How many dead Americans before enough is enough? 10, 100, 1,000 or 10,000?

Anything that ends in someone being on their death bed should be taken serious but not feared as it's going around as. People die everyday with other illnesses. I believe with this issue of how well it spreads or how easy it can spread they need to take precaution on handling this.

I have read this before (as humor) People die of Ebola & everyone freaks out, Aids has been around for years yet people still will not wear a condom.

Oh yes it is, people are too much of sheeple to believe everything that they see on TV. If it's not one thing its another and the people are too blind to see that.

I think Ebola is being taken serious by most of us around the communities as a whole. I think the misconception is that since our higher lvl CoC and public servants seem to be taking this as inept and as a joke with no plan to deal with it effectively. And that seems to give the rest of us a bad stigma that we don't take it seriously when we do.

Well, while a person can be smart, people are stupid. And the more people you put together, the stupider they get. People take a small shred of information that they do not know how to interpret and just run with it, screaming the sky is falling.

Is it at least time to consider making DFW one of the airports with the screening equiptment?

I don't disagree that ALL points and ports of entry should be screened, but we should also screen our own internal hot-zones, Dallas, Omaha, Baltimore, Atlanta. The one idea I cannot seem to get out of my head, for this and future issues, make Washington D.C. the main point of entry when there are any medical issues coming to America...it would at least keep the politicians a little more aware, or it might help solve one of our problems?

Most other countries have travel bans and are protecting their populous. Every time Dr Frieden makes statements the more he looks incompetent. Not sure if we should laugh or start crying. As for others they continue to have their heads in the sand to be polite.
