I wear the old Vietnam war uniforms I'm not a service member nor will I ever be on the account of my heart condition but I do the respectful thing I remove the name tag you'd be surprised at how much people think I'm in the service but I'm not and I tell them straight away I'm not I have a high respect for all service members and a reason I want to serve is because of how many of our soldiers inspire me knowing they put themselves at risk so I can be free

If there were a specific punishment in place for stolen valor there may be less of a problem. I just let who ever get the free meal. My problem is with those who make money off veterans have no problem talking about how much they support veterans only to treat veterans like shit but you love them? Nah not hearing it.

I don't think anything should be taken from any vet who earned theirs but the ones walking around with fake valor should be prosecuted

Serving our country and risking yourl life is no joke and those people who pretend to be heroes should be arrested and prosecuted

Choosing to waste energy on fighting stolen valor is your right, but its not worth the energy. I say let them play make believe.
(That is of course as long as they are not using it for ill gain.)

I can’t understand why this clown would wear the uniform this way and not know he looks so phony
