When taking the ACFT does it go by your mos or do you have to get the standard of the unit your attached to?

I’m a 74D which is the gold standard in the ACFT, I’m going to an engineer unit which is ranked heavy, will I need to do the ACFT to the black standard or will the gold standard still be good? (I’m aiming for 450/550) but want some clarification.

ACFT has been suspended, pending more reviews. The last update to the ACFT prior to that was the Army was just going with one standard across the board, the lowest one.

SFC (Join to see)
SSG (Join to see) it is suspended. Whether or not you're taking one doesn't mean the Army hasn't suspended it.
Let's walk through this. What score do you have to achieve? You don't, because there's no requirement for any scoring right now. What happens if you don't pass? Nothing because the Army suspended implementation of the ACFT. Chances are you're being directedto take the ACFT, or portions of it, for the same reason that a whole lot of people across the Army are suddenly taking it - to gather data about the ACFT and how it will affect Soldiers prior to implementing it.

SFC Kelly Fuerhoff
SFC (Join to see) - Units are still having soldiers take diagnostic ACFTs.

"Regardless, soldiers are still expected to continue preparing for the six-event ACFT as the Army collects data from practice tests across the force, according to Sgt. 1st Class Will Reinier, a spokesman for Sergeant Major of the Army Michael Grinston.
“ACFT is absolutely still being prepped for,” Reinier said in an email. “[People] must still prepare to pass the test once it’s implemented.”
“The rollout most now include these independent reviews,” he added. “It’s too early to know what impact that would have on the March 22 date.”
Army officials have repeatedly said that soldiers’ ACFT scores aren’t expected to count for the record until March 2022."
So they're still having units conduct diagnostic ACFTs for research and they haven't changed the 2022 date to implement it for record. That could change - and I've heard that it likely will change. Nothing official of course. But the SMA spokesperson doesn't make it sound like it is suspended. They're still having people test for "gathering data."

‘Too early to know’ how mandated studies will impact ACFT implementation
“ACFT is absolutely still being prepped for,” a spokesman for the Army's senior enlisted leader said.

It's by MOS by default, UNLESS the Commander determines that his or her unit will achieve a unit standard based on mission type.
