When taking the ACFT does it go by your mos or do you have to get the standard of the unit your attached to?

I’m a 74D which is the gold standard in the ACFT, I’m going to an engineer unit which is ranked heavy, will I need to do the ACFT to the black standard or will the gold standard still be good? (I’m aiming for 450/550) but want some clarification.

ACFT has been suspended, pending more reviews. The last update to the ACFT prior to that was the Army was just going with one standard across the board, the lowest one.

SSG (Join to see) it is suspended. Whether or not you're taking one doesn't mean the Army hasn't suspended it.
Let's walk through this. What score do you have to achieve? You don't, because there's no requirement for any scoring right now. What happens if you don't pass? Nothing because the Army suspended implementation of the ACFT. Chances are you're being directedto take the ACFT, or portions of it, for the same reason that a whole lot of people across the Army are suddenly taking it - to gather data about the ACFT and how it will affect Soldiers prior to implementing it.

It's by MOS by default, UNLESS the Commander determines that his or her unit will achieve a unit standard based on mission type.

You're going to be held accountable per your MOS.
This is where the odd part of the standards come in. You will more than likely have to meet the standard for the unit you are going into.

Which regulation covers it? I looked through fm7-22 and it says army standards. Nothing about meeting the unit standards.

This is supposed to be MOS specific. You can Google ACFT by MOS and get the standard for your MOS.

What you will need to do is 1st Meet the Army Standard for ACFT. Expect your unit to have its own standards which probably will exceed the Army's minimum standards.

Ive been out for awhile so why on earth would you need a MOS based PT test. Makes no sense at all.

So they are saying that if you are a PAC rat- you only need to be able to lift a computer, while a Ranger/Paratrooper still has to lift 200 lbs? Weird.
