I am looking to get the AGSUs (pink and greens) and like the silver oxide badges that DA PAM 670-1 allows (section 14-5) BUT I can't find the Army Senior Space badge in anything but mirror finish. Other than the normal sources (PX, Ira Green, Vanguard) does anyone know where I might find one?

I imagine that's going to have to be a custom order. Air Force badges are all mirror finish. We don't have the option for anything else on Mess/Service Dress or Blues.

Probably will just end up swapping my stuff over, but I had found some Air Force wings that were that tarnished look. I guess those were just for collectors or something. Just seems odd that the Army effectively "stole" the badge design, but didn't go the extra step to make it their own. Oh well.

The old subdued ones for the Air Force are historic and no longer authorized for wear. The Air Force is very particular about what you can wear in uniform... as long as it's not a flight suit. If you are non-god status in the AF, things are dictated down to the micron. We do borrow back some, though. Numerous Air Force folks wear jump wings.

SFC Thomas Foreman Thanks for the laugh. Way too much serious going on these days.

I figured Marlow White would since they have oxide silver badges available, but this one wasn't listed.
