Where can I go to find out how much money I have left from the money the army provides for me to go to college?

If I'm not mistaken the money from the Montgomery GI Bill is what can be passed down to your spouse and/or child(ren). If I'm correct, where can I go to see how much is left(whether searching online or an actual person)?

You can go to two places - VA and milConnect.
The easiest (if it was working) is to log into the VA's website and check on your benefits*, however the database has been down for a couple of weeks now.
The second way with the VA is just to call an educational counselor at the GI Bill hotline [login to see] ). They will have access to your record and can give you all the details.
Another way is to log into your milConnect account* and check under the 'benefits' tab for "Transfer Education Benefits". This should have all your dependents in DEERS as well as your remaining post 9/11 GI Bill benefits shown.

* VA Education site - https://www.va.gov/education/gi-bill/post-9-11/ch-33-benefit/
* milConnect - https://milconnect.dmdc.osd.mil/milconnect/

Post-9/11 GI Bill Statement of Benefits | Veterans Affairs
If you were awarded Post-9/11 GI Bill education benefits, your GI Bill Statement of Benefits will show you how much of your benefits you’ve used and how much you have left to use for your education or training. These education benefits can help cover some or all of the costs for school or training. You’ll be able to view this benefit statement only if you were awarded education benefits.
