How do you personally define these two characteristics? Do you believe that one is more important than the other? How do each of these play into being successful in a given profession, role, or goal?

They are both important. Intelligence is more or less your natural ability you are born with. Education helps you develop and utilize your intelligence in various ways.

That being said, Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is knowing not to put them in a fruit salad.

I've always thought education was knowledge and intelligence is the application of knowledge. You can know everything there is to know but if you cant apply it than its all for nothing.

intelligence and education don't go hand in hand. You can be intelligent and not be educated. You can also be educated but not intelligent.
