Pathfinder, most challenging. But FreeFall school was the funniest. Airborne school, because I was a private and thought it made me a bad ass. Air assault, coz it gave me my third badge and made me think I was more of a bad ass. But NCOES was my favorite. Nothing like buffing floors and listening to crap I already knew from a guy who wasn't as smart as the dumbest guy in the class. Lol. Just kidding NCO academy. Not really, but let's say I am.

MSG Ibarra, I've read your post several times and keep smiling each time I read it. Know exactly what you mean. Been there many times! You bite the bullet and soldier on...if you haven't been to the SMA, do enjoy it! If you have....you are already a better person for it, aren't you!

Sgm, I'm not one for "back in my day" stories. But here is one that makes me a Hipocrit. I recall being deathly afraid of failing land nav in PLDC and losing my stripes. Remember those days. I was a 400 pt guy. I was afraid of counted push-ups by a "didn't get none last night" SGL named thrasher in PLDC. There's no fear or failure now. Leadership wants good attrition rates. lol. Hipocracy over

I have to say almost all my schools/training (5MOS's) I have enjoyed but believe it or not I learned the most from Master Fitness Training School. We had learned a lot about our bodies but also weight training and just a tremendous amount of humane interaction. And of course not to mention all the PT!!!

OMG your right! Land nav. was a bitch! I actually re-taught myself my own way of doing it if you can believe that! I did some how and passed all marks! I did better at night time then day time...LoL! I just bettered myself at the tasks I hated the most, so to over come my fears. And it worked. But it also kind of back fired too...Command ended up making me an instructor in all the stuff I hated! LOL!!

US Army SRT School (SWAT), 1989, Fort McClellan, 2 full week of "induced stress". Nothing but shooting, PT and teamwork.

The counterintelligence agent's course. It was my MOS producing school and I learned a ton. That was 1979, Fort Huachuca, AZ.

Speaking of "Fort We-Gotcha"...I was assigned there for a project that went south before I arrived. So...I was run through the Basic Radar Operation and Army Instructor
courses and wound up doing "Radar Safety" teaching for a while.
