Which reserve military band is the easiest to get into?

Which military band is easiest to get into? What level of playing (high school senior, college undergrad, college graduate) is able to get into the reserve bands? I'm thinking Army Reserve or Army NG would be easiest to get into, but I'd like to know how to prepare. Also considering ANG. Thoughts/opinions/advice from other armed forces band members?

Yeah I have to agree with you on this one. Going in for the "easier" job is the best way to screw yourself over.

It's a given they are hard to get into period. You'll have to audition and it's likely you'll be in competition w/other candidates. You may have to do some leg work of your own to see if the relative handful of Reserve/ARNG bands have any slots to begin with before thinking you'll have to choose.
I wish I could assure you that outside influence or anything other than skill & soldierly traits will be the key but I think that may be a bit of a lie.
Give it your best, you'll endure countless such tests in your life anyway and your abilities won't always be the key but God grant this time it will be.
