As much as I want to vote defense, you need to be able to move with the ball after you steal it.

CW3(P) (Join to see) - True. You're the unsung hero when you've made 0 points but 3 blocks and 2 steals.

SGT (Join to see) - and the thing people may not know. In a pick up game people who like to shoot will pick you up quicker lol

CW3(P) (Join to see) - That's SO true. I've been on the losing team walking away and had someone ask me to play, yet I had probably made 1 point at most that game.

As someone who used to enjoy playing the game, albeit not very well I would say that Game IQ is important. As others have said if you can handle the ball the rest will (may) come.
You don't need to score to enjoy or be a vital member to a pick-up team. If you can passably handle the ball, play defense, rebound a little, and know what to do you will be okay.

I think overall game IQ if I had to pick one talent. The other choices are one-dimensional and limits the player (although any player needs to be somewhat competent in all of these skills). I played one year of college ball and coached kids for 10 years. I prefer well-rounded kids to those with only one skill.
