Can a platoon or crew chief confiscate another soldiers military driving license? Any regulation dealing with such instances?

Any NCO/Officer can pull temporarily a mil license for safety violations. An 88M NCO or the BN Motor NCO/Officer can permanently pull a mili license from anyone in their unit, and of course the MP's

Been there. I literally took it from the soldier's hand, and gave it to the truck master to make the call.

I am going to guess that there is a lot more going on then you posted. I would go to your post TDS and talk to them.

The old adage of “everyone is a safety officer” seems to fit this nicely. Any service member with general military authority can stop an unsafe act, including the operation of military vehicles if they are so inclined. I can say that, in the aviation world, anyone regardless of rank can kill a mission if they feel that the conditions are unsafe.
