A lot will depend on the type of the RE code, and why you got the code you did. Anything is possible but getting the waivers is time consuming and a pain.

I know there are Veterans' Legal Clinics which assist with this - including DAV - and the DD 293 is the form you'd submit. There are many threads on RP regarding upgrades.

How do I do that? My son was medically discharged with erroneous enlistment because of his eczema. MEPs knew and even had him checked out by an assigned dermatologist then cleared him for af bmt. Don't know if they forgot to give him the waiver or not but he requested a waiver at medhold but was denied. MEPs was the one who cleared him. Now his reentry code is 4c

LCpl L Goldberg - I'd say contact a local DAV chapter and ask for reputable Vet legal centers. Don't just let them hand you a DD 293. It's a politicking process. Contact the Syracuse center for resources as well.
