Myself. My Grandfather and Great Uncle both served in WWII. My family served back as far as the Spanish-American War. I felt it was my turn and my duty. To this day, I'm the only woman in my family to wear the uniform. I have no regrets.

My aunt who was an Army LTC. She administered my oath of enlistment & subsequent re-enlistment. Enlisting was one of the best things I ever did

I came from a Military family, so I always knew I would join the Military. But my family has always been a Navy family, but being the black sheep of the family, I did what I always have done. I went in the Military on my terms and Joined the United States Army. The best 24 years of my life.

My veteran parents, & a number of my veteran teachers, & neighbors influenced my decision. So did history lessons about how our nation came to be, so our Founders as well.

RallyPoint News I was influenced by a family history of military service, including my father, who was in the Air Force, and a neighbor who was a WWII veteran who retired as a warrant officer from the Marine Corps Reserves.
