"It is also known that veterans have been targeted as potential terrorists by this administration with warnings sent out to police departments to be on the lookout for us."
No offense, but my critical thinking skills are skeptical about this.

MSG Mitch Dowler
President Obama started implementing policies showing his mistrust of military and veterans soon after entering office.

Federal agency warns of radicals on right
The Department of Homeland Security is warning law enforcement officials about a rise in “rightwing extremist activity,” saying the economic recession, the election of America's first black president and the return of a few disgruntled war veterans could swell the ranks of white-power militias.

MSG - It's basically a fact that rightwing extremism rises when a democrat is president. Same thing happened under Clinton. And leftwing radicalism increases under a republican president. I think you're looking for a conspiracy when in reality it's just simple facts of what happens. I tend to blame the 24hr media for most of this, since media outlets are more concerned with exploiting fears and prejudices than actually reporting the news.

Having been there and done that on 2 continents, there seems to be no issues in insuring that detainees are treated IAW the Geneva Convention and other applicable standards. We insure that they have no complaints (other than their detention) so we don't cheese off the crying liberals. Meanwhile the red tape at the VA keeps winding around itself and its over-bloated regulations and administration keeping our boys and girls from getting what they need. If that situation with vets dying supposedly due to backed up appointments didn't come to light, the only sound you would have heard from congress would have been the crickets chirping. Mistreat one detainee and you have a congressional investigation before the interpreter has finished translating.

I don't know how Gitmo is run, but if it anything like Bucca, Cropper or Taji, I'd say that being treated that way would be the LAST resort I would take.....
