I can not remember how times I was double timing within a formation or leading a formation where we were singing jodi's and it rained, sleeted or snowed. It seemed that frequently the precipitation was blowing in your face. It seems like it was over a hundred times.
I sometimes sing in the shower;but, I have never been asked to sing in a choir let alone sing a solo :-)
Did you every double time in formation in the rain, sleet or snow and have to sing while you were getting wet or frozen?

Boot camp, rifle range. Muddy is an under statement. Then the next day hot as hades, the foot prints from the mud run the day before were now rock hard. Twisted my ankle stepping in one of those foot prints wrong.

Yea but the worse was duck walking to chow and quacking like a duck. When we got to the mess hall I could not stand up my legs were so tired and the DIs came around and kicked butt..
I can still hear our DI Staff Sergeant Moody yelling "Can't hear you quacking people so keep going until I can".....That man had to be completely nuts

SSG Paul Setterholm - They were NOT so good IMHO as a matter of fact that SOB gave me a hell of a shiner when I took him on during hand to hand combat training.

No sleet or snow at Parris Island but lots of rain and sand flies..& we sang the Marine Hymn in the pouring rain as we doubled time. It was easier than crawling in the mud in the rain .

"Neither Rain, Sleet or Snow will keep the United States Post Office from delivering your mail. "....However they do so without singing which may not be a bad thing
