Who would go to a shooting complex that is more like a country club? Long range, pop ups, Childcare, food, gunsmith, firearms to try.

You could either have a single person membership, family membership or pay as you come. Membership holders would receive discounts off of weapons, use of the facilities and ammo. I would like for it to bring the community closer. Then take 20% of the profits and donate to good causes.

Capt Richard I P. - My local range here in Texas is $5.00 per gun for shooters. Friends can come with you, no gun is $1.00 or $10.00 per family if not shooting. Targets are $1.00 They have a food bar..NO Alcohol..(liability) picnic and B,B,Q area swings and play area for the kids. Pistol and rifle ranges. Shoot all day of just sight it in out to 300 yards. Also has gun store and gun rental is $10.00 per gun. Great family place.

Is it Christmas morning already? Sounds like a dream come true.
What would the price be?
Will there be flat screens there for football games?
What about Carry conceal classes or even youth classes? Could help offset prices.
Biggest question. ARE THEY HIRING? Sounds like it would be a awesome job for a Retiree.

Interested yes.
Caveats as a former gun dealer:
Cost Centers. One side of the business is going to support another side of the business. Guns don't really have "profit," they have "draw" and you make your profit elsewhere like Holsters, Accessories etc.
Without knowing everything you will have, I can't even guess what your cost centers will be... but... Restaurants lose money, alcohol gains money. ("Eat me poor, Drink me rich"). Just be aware of what amenities you are offering, and what you are willing to lose money (draw) on to gain money elsewhere.
A "Service" we offered that "helped" was Transfers (ATF 4473) for a nominal fee $20.00 (flat), which justified storage, bound book, etc, and we got to see the gun. As you'll have the range.. they get to shoot their gun immediately after XFER, and you can sell them some ammo. Do the same thing on outbounds, with a flat ship rate with insurance, and you can have a nice little "pure profit."
