Every time I look at my phone I have another 5 notifications. I really don't need to know every single time someone posts in each group I'm in. How can I turn this off? I looked through settings and could not find an option.

If you go to the group page you will see an option to unfollow it (Click the "following" button to unfollow). You won't receive notifications, but you will still be a part of the group.

You can do this on desktop or mobile web, but it is not yet available on the mobile apps.

Point chasers ‘tag’ everyone they have on voluminous lists of RP members so they can get points! When they have over a certain number of tags they spill over onto ‘responses’ to the original query.

POINTS ARE GOOD FOR ENTRY INTO THE DOOR AT STARBUCKS!

“Good/great post responses fall into the same category, POINT CHASERS at work w/o anything to add to the discussion, just point grabbers at work. CPT(P) (Join to see)
MCOL Mikel J. Burroughs Addressed point grabbers and perhaps? inane responses a few months ago. No matter, POINTS are POINTS to chasers! (Would ‘skirts’ interchange with POINTS?)?

Part of the reason I rarely use this resource anymore. That and everyone responds to questions with a negative narrative about the person being lazy or wrong. Better places to seek advice out there.

Why are there so many notifications on RP lately?

If they are tied to your E-Mail: Setting->E-Mail Notifications->Each individual drop down

You can choose in those drop downs whether or not you want instant, daily, weekly, monthly or no notifications.

If the notifications are tied to the RP app, depending on the device: Settings->Notification Center->Choose the RP app->Find notifications and turn off

It is that line for Apple products anyway. Not sure on other brands but I would think it would be similar.

I simply turned off the notifications altogether --- frankly, there is nothing here that can't wait until the next time I'm on the site.
