Why did my promotion points start showing up on my SRB/ ERB? Does that really mean I have my “P” status with out even going to the board?

You have likely been integrated into MLI which does not require a board appearance to be promoted.

Solid answer! It’s just interesting how I came from the reserves and ever since I got here my ERB’s have had points in that section. I went to a promotion board this week and nobody noticed this section on my ERB. (I’m not Air Assault yet and I got reamed from the president for not going back into PHASE 2, June 1st right after COVID). So instead of failing me and Barring me, 90 days, I got kicked out of the board and told to return next month as if it were my first time. I am now starting Phase 2 Air assault this Thursday. This is why it shocked me to find out this was P status proof.

Under the new promotion system, the Army assigns a "P" next to soldier's ranks to simply indicate it is required to promote this Soldier. Next year, the "P" status will be eliminated for all NCO ranks E-6 and higher.

It's just a streamlined portion of the SRB to help individuals track their progress. Do a PPW to make sure it's accurate, but if your SRB is accurate then your promotion points will be.

Also if you have questions and want help, look up SFC Matthew Townzen. He's a medical PSG in the 101st (I don't remember what batt) and is a wealth of knowledge and experience. Tell him I sent you.
