OK, so the Coke
commercial, specifically the one in which America the Beautiful was sung in
multiple languages. I have a very
open
mind; I embrace all cultures and religions with no judgment. But this
commercial just really jumped deep into my veins. I have been told that
I suffer from Narrow Mindedness but I disagree, what I am guilty of, it
is NATIONALISM; HUGE DIFFERENCE. Here is a thought from my little narrow mind,
maybe if there were more people that embraced the contents of the Pledge of Allegiance
we could start to close some of these gaps in the nation…”I pledge allegiance
to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it
stands, “One Nation” under God, Indivisible, with liberty and justice for all…. In my opinion, we
will never be a truly united nation until we adopt one official
language and people drop the prefix from the American…not
German-American, African-American,
Spanish-American…you get it; just “American”.
Well that is it, your thoughts.
