Why is it so many of you never take the time to find out what a thread is about before you comment?

I have finally learned just how many out there take the time to read/watch video/listen to posted threads before commenting. I posted a link which said one thing, but there was a very important(I thought) peace of information in it, yet no one too the time to listen to it. It was in the thread about Joe Biden going going to enter the race. Not one listened to the podcast in the post.

Unfortunately, a number of people on here have very strong political leanings, and they will use any/every opportunity to articulate (project) those leanings to (onto) others. They will do so regardless of the underlying content of the particular post. They just saw Biden, and ran with it. It happened on another Petraeus post, where the topic was spun onto an anti-Hillary rant. I suspect that it will get worse as we approach the election.

Capt Tom Brown - I'm not hard over on stringing up the General, but I'm also not going to fall on my sword to defend him. He has been convicted and publicly shamed. Is that enough? I don't debate that point if someone thinks that is the case. However, if the SECDEF wants to use him as an example to future high-ranking officials who may do something similar, I don't debate that either. I don't buy into the conspiracy theories though (e.g. it's all politics to keep him quiet about Benghazi, it's a shot across the bow at Hillary, etc.).

I believe there's information overload (it's the age of technology). If you feel something is important, don't make people search for it. State it in your post, up front, so it's not missed. And, thanks for sharing!

I had over 6 inches of snow stacked on my car just yesterday. Basically, yes, ma'am, I did.

Syracuse. It's actually the worst pic I took that day. The others are being used for memes.

Being at the office, there are many links (any audio or video) that I can't get to. In those cases I will reply only if the poster wrote something to reply to.

MAJ (Join to see) Sir, and what you do makes perfect sense! Why reply to something you "think" you know when you really don't?

I try to understand the topic when I can't see the link. I do miss sometimes.
