Will America commit to a shooting war with Russia if Putin invades the Ukraine over joining NATO?

At least Biden is not as weak on Putin as Trump was. Thank God Trump is no longer President. Well here we are 100 days in. Big issue now is the food that Ukraine produces and the fact the Russians have it bottled up and add to that the US wheat crop has suffered cutting production.

Its not beyond the possible scope that NATO or the US will not intervene to ensure that grain shipments from UKRAINE will return to normal.

Wait...I thought he (Putin) already invaded Ukraine...and yes if required, I believe we will uphold our end of the bargain and defend NATO.

I don’t know when this question was posted. The conflict that Russia has started has opened up a real running sore with all of the FORMER SOVIET REPUBLICS (FSR) that are now members of NATO.

The Biden Administration and Congress are reacting to events…not leading in any sense of the word. The people who are spending money like drunken sailors on a Liberty Call in Olongapo are focused on the most disgusting and dangerous social engineering goals that is resulting low moral, suicides and desertions.

The FRUIT LOOP MILITARY that is being created will self correct over time. This is the problem for the United States. In Europe, the memories and experiences of the FSR members of NATO will carry their own fight all the way to Moscow on their own because everyone over the age of 50 remembers the secret police, consumer good shortages and political domination of the Russians from 1920 to until 1991.

No one is going “backwards” to allow Russia any kind of dominant political, economic or military influence over countries that have been COMMUNIST FREE for over 30 years.

The United States is just spending money. The NATO countries bordering Russia and Ukraine are going to wage low intensity warfare until the Russian economy collapses.

First I think Putin is a “Punk” that should have his nose bloodied. He thinks he can just take over border countries without consequences. When it gets down to where the rubber meets the road he will think twice about using the nukes and I personally think his leadership would stop him in his tracks.
Although Russia has not revealed its latest war machines due to either their lack of numbers or hyped up propaganda, we would of slaughtered their military due to the apparent lack of war planning and training. Those long convoys would of been another “turkey shoot” for our A-10s.
Regardless of how Putin is decimating Ukraine, I also believe they will push Russia out of Ukraine completely and continue sending body bags to Putin.

It doesn’t matter what America wants to do. Putin’s actions dictate NATO and Biden decisions. I said it before Putin will use tact Nukes and NATO and Biden will shit themselves. Under Biden, America will stand down as Putin destroys Ukraine even if he uses chem/bio or nuclear weapons. Additionally Putin already has a threshold at which he is going to use bio/chem and tact nuke and he is approaching it quickly.

So the dynamics of the situation in the Ukraine has changed drastically since I originally posed this question. Russia has now fully committed its troops into a all out shooting war with the Ukraine. Despite what Putin claims, this is a war.

There has also been great violations of the Geneva Convention against use of deadly force on the civilian population and has also threatened the use of Weapons of Mass Destruction against the Ukrainian people as well as any nation who gets directly involved.

I understand the position our CIC has placed us in by showing his hand to the world in regards to not committing troops to aid the people of Ukraine which has indeed weakened our position to attempt to put a end to the wholesale slaughter and exodus taking place.

I do not believe that the use of sanctions against the nation of Russia will have any type of a deterring effect against Putin solely because there is, without a doubt, more money and supplies stashed away then the US or any other nation knows about. I think the only way that we will truly get Putin to the negotiations table is if we implement a simular tactic that we used against Cuba over the Cuban Missle Crises. A full and complete trade imbargo of all goods and services coming out and going into Russia.

Of course China and North Korea will never abide by such a drastic embargo, so they will continue to do business with Putin. BUT, the drop in revenue coming from NATO and UN countries will make his wallet run for cover.

I am curious though if we have forgotten the lessons that we learned from dealing with Germany in WWII? Hitler invades one country then promises that is as far as he will go. Then invades another country.. so on and so on till the world sits up and says enough is enough. Putin seems to be taking a page right out of Hitler play book and following his bloody example. So will America once again just sit back and watch as Europe burns until someone drops a bunch of bombs on the Pacific Fleet again forcing us into this conflict? I don't think even that would be enough.
