Failed tape. 21 years of service. P3 due to back problems turning in packet to retire by next SEP 2020. Turn 40 this month that gives me 26%. Flagged at this time, packet to retire is at S1. Worst case scenario that could happen to me? I go into catastrophic thinking getting kicked out blah blah.

It's very difficult to chapter you past 18 years. You're in sanctuary right now and if your command wants to chapter you, the request has to be sent to HRC for their approval. HRC will not chapter someone over 20 years for APFT or ABCP. I once saw a guy get knocked down from E6 to E5 and then again to E4 when he was at 19 years, and HRC refused to allow the command to chapter him, he was allowed to retire.

No. Start your transition now. Get your LinkedIn profile squared away and determine if you will relocate based on a job or where you want to live. Start networking now.

I have completed SFL TAP. Packet in review pending updates with S1. It's just time to get out and finally decided prior to tape. But creating an issue at the same time. This is all on me but tramadol, flexiril, robaxin, gabapentin, welbutrin and Mobic didn't work for me. I will get right. Just wanted to make sure if anyone had any insight of this situation. I know what AR600-9 states for 18yr mark.

Get off all that. I was on everyone but the robaxin. I go to BAMC in San Antonio and have dry needle in my neck and back. I feel better with no drug side effects. My point was really that you are out of the military starting now. You must focus on the transition. TAP is not the goal. The goal is a job. You are getting ready to be in a Fraternity Rush week. It’s all about who you know. Resumes are only a small part of the process. SFC (Join to see)

Also, get all of your medical records and make copies for yourself. Those particular records have a way of disappearing once they get to St. Louis. Get an account ASAP on MyHealtheVet and get the "Blue Button" access so you can access your medical records at any time.

Note: beat the MEDBOARD. Got off of the 7 types of meds. Dead man profile.
