So I’m an E4 11b, and based on the new in out calls for reclassification it looks like we’re currently understrengthed. Will I not be able to reclass due to this if the MOS I want has an in call?

If the IN/OUT Call has a NO under the OUT column of your current MOS, then that means no one in that MOS will be allowed to reclass out until that changes.

when you reenlisted get reclass in your contract. Also look at the in and out call roster. Talk to S-1 and The person handling reenlistments

Not until that in and out call changes. I recently reclassed a day before the deadline lol

Go talk to your retention NCO he can help you out, or https://armyreenlistment.com/site/PV2 Louis-Philippe Michel

I think it is possible/used to be reclassed if the MOS you are going into had a bigger shortage then the one you are in. Normally that is a sucky MOS>

SPC Horner, that is correct.
I’m in the same boat and actually trying to reclass from 92Y to 11B but my current mos is under strength E5 so they’re not allowing anyone to leave. Now there are some loop holes that you can find, but you will have to do some reading through the regulations listed in the Milper message.
I’ve read everything however and exhausted my resources and I couldn’t find anything that can override this whole understrength thing.
According to my retention NCO I can try getting a 4187 signed off by our O-6 with a strong justification saying why I want to reclass to 11B, but that’s a shot at the stars. it is also still up to HRC to make the final decision. And they most likely will say no due to the Understrength issue.
So I may just wait until the next Milper message comes out and hopefully it does by the time my reenlistment window opens in September. Maybe then I’ll be able to make the reclass.
My point is you may end up getting the same answers I did, but you should still try. Always try. And exhaust your efforts if you wanna really make the reclass. Read the regs, and talk to your retention. You may end up getting the outcome you want.
Hell, if I could, I’d trade spots with you now. Ha ha. I hope it works out for you, man. Good luck!

When you look in the In/Out calls, read the top pages of the memo, it says it in there if you can or cannot.
