Will the Trump administration come together with the intelligence community or is a reset and divorce imminent?

When he gets his national security team in place and can start getting better, unfiltered intel, I think they will be fine. There are lots of folks at these agencies that produce good work that is distorted and manipulated by political appointments. You might recall the shenanigans at Centcom with intel being "tuned" to tell the higher ups what they wanted to hear.

I think Trump is looking for facts, not for a yes man. He wants someone to be straight up with him- as long as they can do that, there is no problem.

Trump will get along fine with the Intel community. Intelligence is a strange business and most folks in it are very smart. However, they get politicized a lot and the information they provide gets interpreted differently based on what the end user would like it to be.
Once the Obama bias leaves the Intel community, they will able to meet Trump's needs easily. The biggest issue is that we have not supported HUMINT very much over the last 8-12 years. We need to rebuild that capacity in order to have more productive and reliable information.
