Will the VA be able to clear 128k backlogged cases in the next two months?

Improved efforts have seen the VA backlog drop from over 600k to approximately 128K in the last two years. Has this effort to eliminate the VA claim backlog been enough? With new claims coming in everyday and a backlog that was suppose to be eliminated by 30SEP15 is the VA in trouble again?

Maybe next time, you'll use a picture in your discussion that correctly includes the United States Coast Guard. We've been fighting fighting and dying for this country since 1790.

CW3 (Join to see) - You are a gentleman and scholar. I was Navy first, then Army, finally Coast Guard. Since I joined in 1983, it's become something of a major peeve to read, see, or hear all the varied instances in which the USCG is completely forgotten or, worse yet, intentionally ignored. But I do thank you, Sir.

No they will not! Im a vet filed claims and and got one response out 4claims from 1994for PTSD.They threw away our claims or they just dissapeared .It easy to call us crazy because of the war!

That is very discouraging to hear. I hope that the recent negative attention surround the VA gets you some closure on your past requests.

The VA could just do the opposite of what they already do: instead of automatically denying claims, automatically approving claims! (Yes this is a joke as I know that some people do try to file fraudulent claims, so don't take it so hard).

Capt Seid Waddell
CW3 (Join to see), they could also authorize civilian facilities to take on the overflow at government expense. That could easily clear the backlog.

I doubt it, but possibly, if the same methods are used that were used in Philadelphia. (Just kidding), I still doubt it.

I hate to admit it, but I think you are right. It seems like an astronomical number of claims to have open.

For a technical analysis, you would need to run a queuing theory model. But, that would just give an estimate. In reality, no I suspect not.
