With some residence courses now going to distance learning with MS-Teams due to COVID-19, is this the future?

I’m in the National Guard and not too long ago I finished what was supposed to be a resident phase of my Captains Career Course via MS Teams. Due to COVID-19 they had to find other methods and honestly, it worked amazingly well. With the massive cost savings, do others feel that maybe this is a wave of the future?

Not saying that all phases would go the MS Teams route, but maybe one of two do. So you have distance learning, then distance “resident phase”, more distance learning, then the actual residence phase? And this could go for lots of other training courses too, certainly not only what I attended.

Has anyone else had courses via MS Teams? What are your thoughts?
