With the ongoing Ferguson issue, what do you think is the main problem and how do you propose to solve it?

I find that with this issue at hand there is definitely more than what the media reports. I'm used to the whole discriminatory commentary and I've yet to hear some legitimate reasoning and defenses in regards to this issue. I believe that an issue this complex doesn't start with just one case, it's been growing at an accelerated rate and neither parties are willing to take responsibility nor propose solutions. There are many factors that play into why crimes are committed, why racism exists, why poverty exists, why excuses are constantly being made. In order to effectively function as a country, we need unison from everyone. I seek the truth with what the majority really feels and what they believe can fix this ongoing dilemma.
Please refrain from racist jokes and unprofessional behavior as it is clearly "COUNTERPRODUCTIVE" and only fuels the hate.

SrA (Join to see), have you read the essay by Benjamin Watson on this topic? I recommend it. I think he's saying that playing the blame game is not the answer. (And I don't think you're saying that I'm just making a general observation.) I saw an extended interview with Watson on CNN today. He maintains that this is NOT a skin problem, but a SIN problem. And I agree.
Here's his Facebook post, for those who have not yet read it:

I love your featherweight implication. Nowhere did I imply that I would want a criminal to be allowed to walk with no punishment. I do feel with your insightful response that you made an obvious assumption on the person of interest's character, therefore deviating from my whole intent. I do not condone any illegal acts and inappropriate behavior. I find the acts on behalf of the looters and rioters reprehensible and counterproductive. It would be of no benefit to elaborate any further as you are so certain of the core problems at hand, thugs and consequences.

Two prominent black men one a minister and the other a successful musician, both agree. The minister pointed out the israelites wandered in the desert for forty years then God lead them into the promised land. Now starting with Dr Martin Luther King Jr the Blacks have been wandering in the desert of racial prejudice for 50 years. God did not keep the Israelis in the desert that long. Nor has he kept the Blacks oppressed for 50 years. The Blacks own that distinction themselves. If the black neighborhood is falling apart and full of graffiti , who has done it, who has allowed it? Whitey does not come into your neighborhood and "tag" it, blacks do, who tears up your neighborhood, not whites blacks tear up their own and other neighborhoods. Who kills black babies? In Missouri 1 black boy was killed and RIOTING, LOOTING, and VANDALISM by blacks broke out even against black business owners, over the death of one black child! Who PROTESTED THE DEATH of 591 black children since that incident,by ABORTION???

I'm honestly tired of hearing this case being referred to as a racial issue. Look at the facts....if a big white guy tried to beat up a cop, take his gun, and then rush him when cinfronted outside if the vehicle, he would have been shot too.

The same can be said to those whom see it as a racial issue. I'm tired of this case being referred as a clean shot and no racism involved. Two way road. You're asking the public to take one police officer's word over a supposedly snobby stupid teenager knowing how many corrupt officers are out there. As if stealing from a grocery store is unheard from people of all colors. As if the prosecutor was fully impartial in his proceedings, did you know the prosecutor's father was a cop that got killed on duty by a black man? Could the odd presentation of all the evidence in the grand jury proceedings mean something? Or the fact that the proceeding was far from brief as a usual grand jury proceeding is. My point is just as you confidently suggest that Micheal Brown's shooting was justified, there's legitimate opposition to your belief. Perspective. I for one cannot allow my feelings to cloud my judgement, whether I'm tired of hearing this or not. A loved one wasn't taken from me and I am not directly involved nor was I there to attest to what happened. In my opinion I cannot trust neither parties as corruption lies everywhere. Michael Brown probably did it and then again he probably didn't. That's all I'm saying.

I think the big problem is everything today turns to a race problem when this to me does not seem to be one from everything I have seen. The other problem is people looking for this to be a race problem. Not every cop is a saint and not every person on the street is a saint.

Agreed. I am sick of complaining and no results. I am sick of every time black children are killed by blacks and then complaints. A person can claim causality but then again we go back to OJ. I mean nothing has changed and that includes calling out rioters who do not even live there.
