Every assignment is what you make of it. Some people hate base X "because it sucks" but they don't go out and do anything. Go out, meet people, LEARN. When you move on to your next duty station, start all over again. Go out, meet NEW people, and learn NEW stuff. Not only will that make you more interesting to be around, it may make you a better husband, father, Soldier, and American.

Everyplace has its good and bad points about them. I cannot say that one is the worst because I haven't been to every base. You decide how you perceive a place. You decide to sit in the barracks and be miserable or if you get out and see different places. It's all on you.

We had a saying in the Navy. The best station in the world is the one you were going to, the worst station in the world is the one you were leaving.

SMSgt Dr. G. A. Thomas - It has been a while for you then. Well, I suspect you'd be pleasantly surprised by what Bliss has become/is becoming.
