Would it be wise to wear ACUs to go to Wife's basic training graduation or family day?

I think it would be better in class A, look at the facts its boot camp graduation. and for family day, it's about the family so leave the uniform at home and celebrate the family. But always stay vigil. Before I retired my unit had us drive not showing our uniform top as a precaution, check with your unit S2 for updates as well as new directives.

You wear what they wear.
As an example. Marines typically graduate in Service Alphas (Greens with Coat). The Commandant was at my Graduation. He was there in an official capacity, and was wearing Service "C" (Green trousers, Short Sleeve Khaki Shirt). Guess what my graduation Company wore? We wore Charlies. Everyone matched.
We're the "Uniformed Services" for a reason.

Sgt Aaron Kennedy, MS, generally, were it a FORSCOM (main Army) ceremony, that would be appropriate. However, according to Army Regulation regarding the uniform, the ACU (duty uniform, or Cammies) is strictly for wear on duty. Since a BCT graduation is not a duty assignment or tasking, he is not authorized to wear that uniform. The only uniform he is authorized to wear under AR 670-1 is his ASU (Service Uniform) in either Class A or Class B, depending on weather conditions.

SPC (Join to see) What uniforms do you (Army) wear at basic graduation? I would have thought Service as opposed to Combat.

They graduate in Combats. They get their Family Day (completion ceremony, essentially) in Service uniforms. The reason behind this is that almost immediately after graduation, depending on where you are, they leave for their fist duty station or AIT location that day. So they have to be in their duty uniform. But they get family day in their Blues so that they can show off their pretty stuff to their family. That is the day prior to graduation.

SPC (Join to see) Ah. Service differences. Marines do the Family evening in Service B/C (weather/season), and graduation in Service Alphas. We get 10 days block leave before MCT/ITB, then MOS school. Whenever PSC/Aing we wear Alphas. It doesn't matter if it's 30 feet down the road (I PCS/A'd from 1st Marines to 3/1 which was literally 30 feet away).

Unless there's a Marine Officer above, from a Marine Point of view... it's a Ceremonial Occasion.
Unless I worked on the Base and had to go back to work immediately, which would be poor planning on my part, given that Graduation dates are usually known pretty well in advance. There is no way I would wear Cammies. Although I thought they looked pretty good.
Nope, I wouldn't even wear Alpha's, this is a Dress Blues type event. Show her respect by going all out.
OR, make it ALL about her by wearing "Appropriate Civilian attire", even there I'd go for Dress shoes, Matching Belt, Khaki's, White T-Shirt and a Service connected Polo.

What would you want her to wear? What are all the graduates wearing? That is your answer, personally I think ACUs are much to casual for the occasion and I would wear Service Dress (ASU).

I would have to say go big or go home. Either wear your ASU (Class A) or wear business casual since it is your wife's day.
Congrats to her!!
