Would you consider using a body camera where an ex- is involved?

Would a man have been charged with misdemeanor assault if he had grabbed his ex-wife's genitals? Why does there seem to be a double standard when it comes to domestic violence?
"In an effort to protect himself, Michael [an Army Ranger] has been filming encounters with his ex when he drops off or picks up his 2-year-old twins.
“A GoPro has such a wide angle scope on it,” Michael said. “It catches everything from 5 feet away from the feet to the head.”
And it appeared to catch 37-year-old Corinne Novak grabbing his genitals during a custody exchange last Thursday. Novak was later arrested for domestic battery, according to 10 News.
“We have court coming up, so hopefully it goes to show a little bit of validity to what I’ve been doing and what I’ve been saying and disproving what she’s been saying,” Michael said. “It seems to be overlooked when the man is a victim of domestic violence.”

So much of our domestic violence money goes to post-victim care and precious little to prevention. Domestic violence is not a woman's issue...its a human epidemic.

Good defense; although a more kinetic defense would be justified to stop the attack, it would get him into more legal trouble.

CPO Andy Carrillo, MS
Especially given his Ranger training which would be a liability before a jury of her peers...

Upon seeing the photograph of the male domestic violence abuse victim, did anyone think, "I wonder what he did to get her all fired up?"

Double Standards!!!!! This is such BS. If woman want to be treated equal, and have equal rights (which should already be a thing, it's 2015) then it should be across the board. It's not Ok for a woman to beat man, and it's not Ok for a man to beat a woman. If a woman wanted to fight with me, then I would defend myself and give her a beat down not because I'm an abuser, but because we're both humans and we have the right to defend ourselves. If a woman hits a man thinking he's not going to fight back, then that woman deserves to get beat not because it's violence towards woman, but self preservation as a human.
