Given the VP that we currently have, anyone can be VP. I'm still believing that Obama picked Jeff Dunham's dummy, Walter and the Dems didn't know the difference. The choice of VP means nothing, you elect a president and whomever he selects and not much else matters. With the exception of Cheney, GWB would have been eaten alive by the Dems, had he not been there.
John Nance Garner IV, ... He famously described the Vice-Presidency as being "not worth a bucket of warm piss".

I was thinking another reality TV star with as much attitude. Like chef Ramsy or Flavor Flave? Maybe a washed up childhood actor like Michael Knight or a ex super model like Tyra Banks. David Hasslehoff or...Wait....I got it!!! Jerry Springer!!!

The person I think would be best suited for VP that pretty much checks all the blocks is New Hampshire Senator Kelly Ann Ayotte.
In a field of old farts she is young. The 12th youngest of the senators at only 47. She went from law clerk for NH Supreme Court to prosecutor to attorney general. Reappointed twice by a democratic governor. Finally to senator. Mitt Romney eyed for a running mate which may be a disqualifier in Trump's eyes but can pull in Romney supporters. She can potentially bring in the hispanic and female vote. She has been acknowledged as honest, extremely intelligent, likeable, and one of the most influential women in the Republican party.
Her positions:
Immigration- Voted for immigration reform bill (check)
Economics- Opposes increasing minimum wage (check)
Pro gun/2nd amendment; however opposed castle doctrine for NH (almost check)
Environment- Supports climate change concerns (sorry, I don't buy climate change but I do believe not polluting- no check)
Health care- Likes the premise of ACA but on-the-fence on how it's success (check if she is a repeal and replace practitioner)
Financial regulation- Favors a balanced budget amendment, opposed TARP, other reforms (lots of little checks)
Social Issues- pro-life except in rape, incest, or mother's health compromised. Personally opposed to same sex marriage but believes it is a state issue and respects NH's right to do so. She supported extending social security and vet benefits to legally married same sex couples (check- she supported the people fairly and objectively in spite that her personal beliefs did not align).
Foreign Policy- simply don't know but limited resources imply that she leans with a 'Strong Moral America' superpower role.

I would like to not even see Trump as "President",so I guess I'd have to answer no to Newt Gingrich. Heck, Newt Gingrich should be President before a conniving, corrupt schmuck like Trump.

I hope that Speaker Gingrich is too smart for that.
If I was on the short list, I'd make it very clear; Carnival barker delivery, school yard bully taunts, engagement of brash mouth before brain and I offer my resignation, followed by a press conference where I deliver a scathing rebuke. At which point he would tell me I'm off the short list, and tell everybody I begged for the VP slot.
