We all have to maintain grooming standards and for some of us, um well some of you, that means weekly or bi-weekly haircuts. I had a question: would you pay $10 more (than whatever you pay now) for a haircut at home, at a time of your choosing? You get to pick the barber and time.

No, I pay $10 less for a haircut at home. My wife cuts my hair for me every week or two. The clippers cost around $50, so this practice became cost-effective after just a few weeks.

I have my own clippers and cut my own hair whenever I feel it needs to be done. I still have 1 year to go. lol

I only have my hair cut every month and a half so it isn't worth it to me. Besides, I am out of work.

I used to pay $20 outside Camp Casey in Korea (when I had hair) and they do a great job, wash, cut with straight razor. It was rated the best fades of Zone 1. I will post the name when I remember it

I don't like to pay a penny. My wife does my hair at The Young American Salon every week :D and you can't beat going to a nice place and drink a beer or two while getting your hair done.

After getting a great haircut in Kuwait $6 for a PX haircut with a straight razor, trimmed eyebrows and head massage, it's hard to justify paying $8.95 to the ft hood PX barber to do a crappy job with clippers and no other extras. When I was ft sill, there was a Korean barber that did the same style as I'm getting in Kuwait for $8 back in 2009.

Always had mine cut in town really disliked the PX/BX barbers. And they never use a straight razor around the ears or neck. And now that I'm retired still get it cut the same high and tight every two weeks. Lucky theres a barber in town that caters to the military and its $11. So I guess the answer would be yes.
