Wanting anyone to be anyway someone else sees fit is not freedom. I would want my child to just live free, make good moral decisions and learn from mistakes.

I prefer less attractive and extremely intelligent like me, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, and I'm too old to look attractive. :)

Let me answer this question this way. I would rather my kids be themselves no matter what, than try to be someone else either by changing their looks or smarts just to fit in or impress others.

I have found that when one brings love, kindness, and compassion into the lives of other folks, especially children, it generates intelligence and beauty and joy in their souls from appreciating the many perspectives from which to observe the world around us all as endlessly fascinating and enlightening. When we can support children in learning and following their own hearts because of encouraging their intelligent, beautiful, joyful souls, then we all succeed in some way or another.

I would rather my children be more intelligent.  Attractiveness is very subjective, and it is only temporary.  Beauty doesn't make someone a good person.  Being intelligent is how we will advance and become successful.  It is also how we will prevent mankind from following the path of the movie "Idocracy."

Over time the personality becomes the most attractive part of a person for me. I have burned out on the casual cruelty of the selfish but physically attractive people.

SFC A.M. Drake That's easy enough. Less attractive and extremely intelligent. When their intelligence lets them do things to move the world, people will not care about 'less attractive'. Especially if there's money involved.

Since I am very attractive and it hasn't done me much good, I'd say, I'd rather my children were intelligent.

In the end, it is intelligence that sets people apart from each other, at least, in my opinion. It is my belief that the extremely attractive but less intelligent leach off of others but the intelligent can always be resourceful enough to get themselves out of any bind they find themselves in.

For me, I am fortunate enough to have four beautiful children who are exceedingly intelligent. I just hope that I am able to pass along the the right life lessons and wisdom to ensure they don't find themselves in the same problems I found myself in.
