So, I am a new Pepperdine University grad student. One of the main reasons I chose Pepperdine is their gracious Yellow Ribbon policy. I did some scouting and found out that several schools have unlimited allocations and funds for this program. BEFORE YOU ENROLL IN A SCHOOL, please look at this VA site. It was the difference between me taking out debt to go to USC and getting a 90k MBA at Pepperdine free.

I used the Yellow Ribbon for undergrad and my first two years of law school. For my third year of law school I was able to use VocRehab which not only covered tuition but 100% of my books, which were quite expensive.

Yellow Ribbon is good however not all schools allow you to use it to pay the full tuition and you need to qualify for the Post-9/11

It was a waste of time. The programs that are at these events after 2 deployments are irrelivant. The ceremonies took place 3 months after returning to civilian life. the programs are for re deployment into the civilian life. Well if i have been home 3 months, out & about, doing my everyday thing. A program that is suppose to help me be able to understand what to expect & how to react to a situation. How does this help me 3 months after the fact. i have already learned how to react, how to deal, back into my old routine. The events need to be done before released to go home. Its pointless program unless done correctly on a correct timeline, not 3 months or longer after coming home. It was good for only seeing all my buddies again & party, have fun on the army dime, & get paid. except for that pointless.

You are referring to the post deployment events, they are talking about the tuition program. Plus those event were very beneficial to a lager auldiance, sorry you feel that way. Everyone I knew who participate put in the effort to get something out of it.
