SFC Maury Gonzalez, close. FALSELY yelling it is illegal (see Schenck v. United States), yelling fire in a crowded movie theater when there IS a fire is completely ok.

Yes it is free speech. The other thing I can't stand is people desecrating our flag. Look at the lady that was a USAF Veteran try to stop the walking on our flag and was arrested. She was violating their freedom of expression. It's bull.
