For better or worse, I think it is pretty darn accurate. While we should always remember those that paid the highest of price for freedom and give them all the honor they have earned, we cannot forget about our brothers and sisters-in-arms that are still battling on the home front.

I am all about truth in advertising. As far as this cartoon goes, I think it is spot on. Far too many veterans out there are homeless, hungry and without proper medical treatment, and it seems that no one but fellow vets are willing to do anything to make this sad situation any better.

I think it's no disrespect to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, yet lampoons the suit wearing hands holding the flowers, with the impliation that they're politicians etc., going for the acceptable actions, while the government does an inadequate job of taking care of veterans who need help.

That is our society and the very sad truth. I mean, it happens all the time. What I hate, Those passing as homeless veterans who are really not veterans. So, before I give them anything, which is usually just food, I do ask a bout of questions.
I really don't think it is too extreme. I think it should open peoples eyes. Or it SHOULD be this extreme so that maybe something could be done about it.

Maybe this will help wake the VA up and force them to DO THEIR JOB AND TAKE CARE OF OUR VETERANS!!!
Sorry for the "yelling" but that's how I feel.

Very frustraiting for sure. We all need to do our part to help our Veterans that are coming back and don't have anyone to turn to. Do your part and reach out to a fellow Veteran today. They most likely just need a coach/mentor and someone to hear them. Sorry for the rant, but this is only going to get worse. I know we can't help everyone, but we need to help as many as we can!

Agreed! My brother served in Vietnam and the resources in the late 60's was non-existent; had he not had family he would have been like the picture on the right.
