This is a sad day in the Marine Corps and across the Armed Services. I pray for my brothers/sisters and their families.
I am so angered that they couldn't defend themselves due to current rules and regulations. We trust our warfighters to carry a weapon in other countries but not in our own country. They have the training and background investigations already done, and many already have State Concealed or Open Carry licenses, but when the are on Federal Property / in uniform or our of uniform they are not able to be armed. Let's hope this changes...soon!

In this day and age, it's often better to ask for forgiveness than permission. Having served as the ATFP officer for a site like today's attack, i know the limitations, and had to chose many passive measures to protect my team. I felt it would be better to be judged by 12, than have anyone carried by 6.
