Is there a Green to Gold option to go from National Guard Enlisted to Active Duty Officer?

SSG Bill McCoy those cadets aren't guaranteed to commission into the Regular. They get Reserve Commissions, which is why it's called the Reserve Officer Training Corps. Some of them will be selected for active duty commissions, the rest will stay USAR

SFC (Join to see) - ROTC is a larger program than Federal OCS, which has become very competitive these days, I am told. Score near the TOP on the OML should land you Regular Commission, which these days just means you are on Active Duty.
Being an old timer, when I was in, the only ones that Commissioned Regular were West Point and SMA Grads, everyone else was commissioned Reserve even if you went Active. You could apply for Regular status after you commissioned, but it was a process to get it done.
