We are honored to welcome Bill Rausch to a live Q&A here n RallyPoint. Bill is the Executive Director at Got Your 6. He is a former Army Major with over ten years of service including 17 months in Iraq serving under Generals Casey and Petraeus while assigned to the Information Operations Task Force. Before joining GY6, Bill was Political Director at Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America where he oversaw policy and advocacy campaigns.
Prior to his veteran advocacy work, he was a Senior Consultant providing products and services to the Department of Veterans Affairs and Department of Defense while assigned to the Pentagon. Bill regularly testifies in front of Congress and has appeared on NBC Nightly News, C-SPAN’s Washington Journal and MSNBC’s coverage of Memorial Day and Veterans Day. Bill is also an active community leader and volunteer serving as Chapter Captain for Team Red, White & Blue (Team RWB) in his local community in Alexandria, VA. He serves on the Board of Directors at Volunteer Alexandria, an organization promoting volunteerism across all charity sectors. Bill received his Bachelor of Science in Geospatial Information Science from the United States Military Academy, West Point, NY.

Trying to input the data for verifying my service, the year for the active service date will not go lower than 1985, wtf? I entered into the service Feb 10th, 1972, RA, North Ft.Polk for BCT

I apologize, for the inconvenience, thought this was a Rally Point page q & a, ... but while I am here, ... I am a disabled veteran trying to get my ptsd established for comp, ... also have back issues stemming from my time in service, ... never had health insurance until my later years, & only recently joined the VA healthcare system about 10 years ago, ... it has been an uphill battle all of the way, ... I was also “forced” to submit application for the non-service connected pension by the SSA, prior to getting my SSI benefits, ... have never heard a word about it since, ... I found out that the government poverty income level is @ the $17,000 level now? I only get $9,060 per year, & am trying to get money reimbursed for medications I was charged for last year, ... any chance of getting ahold of someone in the proper channels to get this crap straightened out? I am only xisting at this time, but am working on getting my credit straightened out, have few/little resources, & am struggling with my ptsd, & health issues, my VA shrinks say they have done everything within their power, but for crying out loud, it is simply not enough, ... What do I have to do? Go stand in the middle of I-80/90/94 & strip down naked to get the assistance I truly need? You can contact me at [login to see]
