Research shows that when we volunteer, we feel better mentally and physically, are happier, have more self-esteem, are less depressed and are more satisfied with life.
There’s no better time to be reminded of the benefits of giving back than in April, which is National Volunteer Month. And volunteer opportunities abound at military- and Veteran-friendly nonprofits, many of which are among the 465 organizations recently endorsed and funded by philanthropist MacKenzie Scott, whose latest donation totaled $3.9 billion.
In choosing which groups would receive a share of the allocation, Scott said in a March 23 Medium post that she drew on “heartening evidence that supporting the capacity of all people to be heard leads to better outcomes for all.” In almost every case, the nonprofits highlighted here reported that Scott’s grant represented the largest single donation in its history.
“If you’re looking for a way to serve humanity’s common cause,” Scott said of the grantees, “every one of them is a great candidate.”

Medical Center In North Las Vegas For A Portable Oxygen Machine FOUR Times ~ As Required
Ever 11 Months ~ And To This Day I'm Still TRYING To Be Issued The Portable Oxygen Machine.
During These 4 Years, My Brother Mike, Whom Lived In Ohio Had 2 Major Heart
Attacks And Was Home Resting, And I Was Unable To Travel WITHOUT A Portable
Oxygen Machine, So When He Passed Away I Was Unable To Visit Him In Person
Before His Death, ~ ~ NOW Here's My Current Situation: I Have A Grand Son In His
Early 40's, Whom Passed Away On Saturday, Of June 13th, 2025, "YES", Just The Other Day,
ANDY Had A Heart Attack And DIED ~ Leaving Behind 4 of My Great Grandsons And A Wife.
Which Once AGAIN The VA Is Causing Me GRIEF, Due To Their Lack Of Care And Not Supplying
Me With Medical Equipment To I'm Qualified AND Entitled To Possess Under Our VA Benefits. ..
I FINALLY Managed To Purchase A Portable Oxygen Machine At My Expense On Monthly Payments So I Can Go To Michigan To Be With My Daughter While She's Suffering The Loss Of Her Son. ~~ So Please Allow Me This Opportunity To Say "THANK YOU" To Our North Las Vegas VA Medical Center For Absolutely NOTHING ! ~~"*%)-=%"!!

Great organizations on the list. Served with Team RWB, The Mission Continues and Team Rubicon all for a decade. Don't work with them now, unless with Team Rubicon if find self back in the Southeast USA where much work goes on. Maybe.
