Senator Mitch McConnell,
There seems to be a very unfortunate trend of the two major political parties drifting further apart and nominating very polarizing presidential candidates. Regardless of who the next President will be, do you have hope that these two parties will find common ground and we will see positive legislative change or further gridlock on major issues like healthcare, education, minimum wage, and government assistance programs?

republicans have ALWAYS tried to cut healthcare, education, minimum wage, and government assistance, they will not change anytime soon.

Senator:
Can you and a Republican controlled Senate AND House NOT stop the administration from destroying the United States Military? Are we actually safe enough to gut the nation's strength? I really do not expect an answer.

SSG Ayscue, it is Senator McConnell's budget proposal that cuts military BAH and other benefits. He is the fox in the hen house.

With the US Air Force's aging fleet of war planes, will the F-22 production line be restored? How about increasing the production of the F-35?

The F35 is great on paper... how about just bringing the A-10 back. It has more capability and maneuver then >85% of the world's war planes. I might not want it to fight Russia, but we can knock the shit out of ISIS, Hezbollah, and any other second or third world threat. The F35 has been in production forever and isn't close to being done while way over budget... the Raptor can stay, fight Russia with that.

Why did you choose to give Obama everything he wanted (except for his last SCOTUS nominee) instead of partnering with the House to stop him. We were promised Obama would be stopped if we gave you a majority.

I have plenty of kindling for this winter and don't need your book, but was wondering why being discharged from the 100th Army Reserve Unit in 1967 for sodomy qualifies you for ANY public "service"?

He was discharged for optical neuritis that limited his peripheral vision, a condition that persists today.

His military "service" is 5 weeks at Boot Camp. Probably the majority spent in the infirmary.

Thank you, LT. I agree with some of the other bloggers that these are "soft sources". However, if any of the dates are correct, don't see how a GCM could have even been convened, much less processed in the amount of time Mr. M spent in the Army. The Article 32 would take quite a while, Article 30 had to be delivered, Article 34 had to be approved. NOTHING moves that fast in the military justice system. Even if the general officer tried to convene an Article 23 (Special Court Martial) it is still mandatory for Charges & Specifications to be delivered and an investigation completed. The final record of the CM would be forwarded to the Judge presiding over the district of the base. It can then be sealed, "removed" (like it never happened) or vacated. As this develops it is very interesting. I, too wondered about the UCMJ definition of Sodomy, especially when I was a married officer, living on base, serving in Southern states. Thanks for your info reference.

I see a lot of questions here on the board. My question is, when are you planning on answering any of them publicly? I do not see any answers to any of the questions posted here. It's not like you are busy in congress.

why did you lay down on this last omnibus bill ? that is not a conservative value giving away everything the liberal left demanded and continue to fund planned parenthood anyway, even after they were busted brokering baby body parts ? this last two years should have been a lame duck presidency but you and your cohorts gave it all away.

Sir, why can't you and the rest of the GOP politicians seem to put your party secondary to the needs of our Country. You seem to abdicate your responsibilities to fall on the premise of serving the People of this Country when it is clear this statement of yours is not true. Your statement of support for the troops I find Disingenuous at Best while the Congress has cut funding for the VA and for the Active Military needs (individual Soldiers) in terms of pay, it is a shame that so many young lower ranking Soldiers (E-1-4's) have rely on food stamps to support their families, I knew what it was like and believe me it was tough supporting my family on $200-300 back in those early years when life was not as harsh as it is today. You fall on your service in Congress since 1984, well Sir, I fall on my service to our Country from 1962-1982 serving in the US Army in the Federal Republic of Germany (West) for four different tours, two tours in S. Korea 1976-769, one tour in Vietnam 1968-69. I worked for the US Environmental Protection Agency in the Safe Drinking Water Program as the SDWA Database Administrator. I would do both of these Great Opportunities that I both earned and was entrusted with two times over if given the opportunity again not asking for anything myself but for the gratification I received from my fellow Soldiers and my co-workers at the Agency was and is more than enough. The benefits I receive today because of my past service are more than I truly deserve but I am not dumb and will not turn away what I earned. Finally, all I am asking is that like myself, when I asked all those around me "Who do you work for? your answer had better been "The Public At Large", any other answer is UNACCEPTABLE, period.... So Sir, put politics aside Serve Our Country Honorably, Say No to the Lobbyists, Say No to the Partisan Politics and Say Yes to the Very Real Needs of Our Country and the People and not just the wealthy..... there are those who are for whatever reason are having a difficult time in life and for us to not step forward to help Demeans Our Own Values and Lives.... If Life truly has a meaning according to whatever Religious beliefs one may have those beliefs also have to accept the moral responsibility for Life after Conception and what happens to those unwanted children or those born into abject poverty or drug related familial conditions, where do their rights begin for decency? Are your like minded thinkers going to step forward and help beyond the moment of birth into adulthood so this vicious cycle can be addressed and possibly stopped.... My Challenge to you Senator and the rest of the Congress, are you folks Truly Ready to Lead Country Regardless of Party Politics, Truly Ready to Put Aside the Pettiness that has set Our Country Backwards and Start Moving it Forward Again With a Real Honest Vigor For and Of The People of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA..... When I went to Vietnam, I did not have to go when I did, but morally I did for two reasons: my youngest daughter of three was born in July 1968, I received orders and departed for Vietnam in November 1968, number one reason, my youngest brother was already serving in Nam in the Mekong Delta as a Boat Pilot and I felt it was my responsibility to ensure that he got out of Country ALIVE, he did.... Secondary, I was already on an Army Career Path and it was My Obligation to My Country to Serve Wherever She decided I needed to be wherever I was needed regardless of whatever it cost me and yes, it did cost me Dearly in the End but that is another story that is of no consequence.... But what is of Consequence is the Condition and the Future of Our United Country.............
Thank You for Listening....

When are we going to start paying attention to the displaced veterans we have in our own country? Instead of worrying about people that don't want to get better. Why do you and your fellow Congressmen feel it is ok to spend OUR money, that we've worked hard for all our lives so that we can have a little something in the end, why do you feel it is ok to throw it away on people that don't even want to be over here?
We need term limits for people in Washington, D.C. Being in Congress should not be a career. Serve our country in other ways, maybe even the military. When are we going to see Term limits?
