America now faces a momentous decision. Almost a decade of irresponsible defense cuts has slashed the number of combat personnel, seriously degraded their combat readiness, and shrunk the size of our military below any reasonable standard. If America continues to lead from behind, we will lose the ability to guarantee our safety at home and abroad.
Our all-volunteer force deserves better. They deserve a leader who will provide them with the finest weapons systems and the best training. They deserve the full and unapologetic support of their Commander-in-Chief, not a minimal commitment and overly restrictive Rules of Engagement.
Furthermore, Americans make up the finest military professionals and veterans in the world, and they deserve an investment in their careers, their health, and their families. We must honor of our military members, families, and veterans by ensuring they receive the respect and care they have earned.
Under focused, new leadership, America can, and will, rebuild our military and take care of our veterans.

Good day Senator. Due to the death of Justice Antonin Scalia, there is a vacancy on the Supreme Court. If it were up to you, who would you nominate to fill the Vacancy. Do you believe that President Obama should nominate a person to fill the vacancy or should he wait until after the results of the next election and allow the next president to fill it?

What would you do to improve the treatment of Veterans both in health care and basic services to lead a productive life?

Would you consider giving a special incentive to Active Military Members of a reduce tax rate? This would assist military families from month to month and encourage recruiting and sustainment of the force. Furthermore making up for the marginal increase we're been compensated with in recent years; while debunking the 5% loss in housing allowance that was additionally put in to effect by the current president.

Senator Cruz, Would you be open to suggest or establish better benefits for the active military force, with better college benefits that will help those over the 10-15 year mark to complete their college degrees? Currently we can only take about 5 classes a year, which is typically taking someone seven years to complete a four year degree, after their military experience is accepted by the school.

Currently retired reservists are not eligible for retirement pay until age 60. In 2008 a bill was passed in which every deployment after 2008 over 90 days , 90 days would be subtracted from your retirement age, however the bill was never made retro-active to 2001in which many reserve and national guard deployed in 2001 - 2008. What would you do to address the current retirement age for reservists?

What can we do to help you win the nomination. I am already going to be a delegate for WA state. And in Pierce County WA 2nd LD, you won twice as many votes as Rubio. (Very little went to Trump)
