I think it interesting that the very folks who are clamoring for insurrection are the selfsame folks who actively lobby for a disarmed populace through elimination of the 2A resulting in universal gun confiscation. Since there is no such animal as an unarmed insurrection, how do these bozos think they could/would pull something like this off? The ONLY way is for them to assume control over ALL the reins of power and be willing to subvert them to their own ends, using the likes of us to enforce their totalitarian will on the citizenry of this country. We should always be mindful of this as we pursue our duties, whether military or civilian.

I'm not defending ANY of them or their thought processes. I'm trying to explain their behavior. If you embrace their delusion (which obviously none of us does), everything they say makes perfect sense. A major problem occurs when an insane person takes the reins, thus leading us to destruction. They want to steer us towards a cliff while sticking their fingers in their ears, all the while shouting "There is no cliff! There is no cliff!" It is their insanity which makes them so hard to defeat using clear, rational thinking — sadly, they wouldn't know rational if it reached up and slapped them across the face!

I will raise up arms against the government when it is the ONLY way to uphold my oath of service, "to defend THE PEOPLE of the United States of America from all foes, foreign and domestic," and NOT ONE SECOND BEFORE.

What about your first oath? The people are divided. The Constitution is not.

CPL Adamzcyk, it takes a certain brand of coward to block someone before allowing them a rebuttal. It is also an obvious sign that you either don't believe your own hype or you secretly admit to your own ignorance. Regardless, your choice only goes to demonstrate just how worthless the effort to inform the willfully ignorant really is.

As was in the Revolution and in the Civil War, each person will have to decide if/when it is time to revolt or rebel. Likewise, each person will have to accept the consequences of his/her decision. This is pretty similar to a lot of other moral dilemmas, everyone is going to have to search his/her individual heart, soul, and mind and decide. If you're looking for a litmus test of "when," you're not going to find it.

P.S. A LOT of this would be moot if Congress did its job. Wasn't a fan of Barry nor am I a fan of Chump; in retrospect, I was also mistaken about many things with Bush. But if you're afraid of the power of the President - in any particular President's case - you have only Congress to blame for not properly exercising its authority. As I heard Ben Shapiro once say, "If you're afraid of the President becoming the Emperor from "Star Wars," we ought to be limiting his powers to that of the Mos Eisley DMV."

Lt Col Eric Davis - I agree. The legislature was always supposed to be THE center of our government due to the fact that it directly represents the people. However, over time, these representatives have grown complacent, realizing that citizens expect less and less of them they are able to collect their over-sized paychecks without performing the duties of their office. Due to the complacency of the legislature, the executive has taken up a bulk of the work/'power'. I was still rather young during the Bush Admin but I liked him. That being said, I despised Obama and I am critical of Trump because he could definitely use a lesson in keeping his mouth shut. Overall, I believe that we could be heading in a better direction soon.

By the way, I'm diggin' the Shapiro quote. Easily one of my intellectual heroes. I read one of his books and am a devout listener/watcher of his podcast.

SGT Joseph Gunderson - "Keeping his mouth shut" is exactly what the opposition wants. President Trump is wildly popular BECAUSE he DOESN'T.

LtCol Brian Ford - partially. However, there is a time and place. I am pretty sure everyone is annoyed by the tweeting. I agree though, his willingness to speak out against the career politicians in a way that hasn't been experienced in a few generations is refreshing.

I still have faith in our government. The issue is with citizens lacking the motivation to take accountability and improve their communities by action and self control. We are electing both liberal and conservative politicians that are intertwined with groups that work the system to leverage special interests instead of best interests. The politicians play off our resulting frustrations and create divisions between conservatives and liberals. (A play from the Art of War) We as a country are now fighting each other over petty egos instead of discussing, compromising if needed, and improving our country. This is at the expense of our freedom, because while we are distracted by the weakness of egotistical folly, politicians are passing legislation favoring greed and wealth.

Our revolution is now! ...in our communities, in our votes, in our choosing to put ego aside and imagine better solutions, getting better canidates out there to elect and ensuring our schools educate our children how to use logic and citizenship values to make better decisions than we have instead of teaching tests and overextending underpaid teachers.

The revolution doesn't need to break the government because the problem isn't with the government, it is in what we have been letting happen to our government. Take accountability, and challenge others to do the same.

NOTE: The left will not compromise. They have an agenda to accomplish. The right should not compromise with wrong, and the left is always wrong because their agenda is the conquest of good in this nation.

LtCol Brian Ford It seems to me the Left and the Right both have their egotistical agendas. Both have their opposing view as to what is "good" and scapegoats pointing fingers to the other side.
By failing to recognize common ground they both see as "good"...by failing to be mature enough to use critical thinking instead of reacting based on an "I see things the right way" ego...they bicker like children behind the guise of adult words self-validated with their ego and positions of authority. By submitting to their ego and greed, both sides (intentionally or not) create agendas of the conquest of good.

Do NOT include politicians who claim to be Republicans as part of the "right"! If they side with liberals they are Democrats! If you think the conservative view is wrong, please explain! The war between Conservatives and Liberals is the same war between right and wrong that has been going on since the War in Heaven when Lucifer was expelled.

The most succinct way I can think to put this--in a strictly non-polarized way, because I find more worth in looking at individual socio-political issues rather than siding with a political group or bandwagon--is to look for the politicians (regardless of political leaning) that side with special interests; point fingers instead of coming up with solutions; or repeat something over and over instead of using articulated arguement.

The founders left us the tool of revolution, and we have one every 2 years. It's called the power to vote. Problem is that we keep electing the same tools into office to repeat their stupidity. Your vote is POWER, that's why the parties spend MILLIONS to get that vote. Exercise your power with those of a like mind, and you'll get your revolution (if you can convince 50%+1 of your point of view).

The left is also pursuing that vote with the dead, deception, the infirm, the stupid, and the illegal. If we can't use the law to stop it, then diplomacy fails. Remember what happens after that?

We revolt when the nation no longer upholds the tenets of the Constitution and the laws that the Founding Father’s embraced. Hopefully never.

The problem with rights is one thing that Donald Trumps shows to everybody, There are folks who really think they are better than anybody else. Yet every pne of us is equally qualified for anything we can do. Color doesn't matter. What faith you are doesn't matter. We are all one group of people united by Adam, our forefather This world of many faiths which father Abraham started, will one day turn into a world of one faith, under one GOD. I am an old man of 75 years. I served my country in the sixties in Nam. That was enough war for me. There is enough violence on the streets today without having more violence because of one man. We can vote out the Republican party from both Houses, or we can vote for new people on either Party to fill the vacancies left, and start anew. That is our right No blood need be spilled for this That is our right. ome November 2020, we can elect a new leader since Congress will not get rid of the one setting in the White House, . That too is our right. Only GOD help us is the Electoral vote puts this person back in office for another 4 years.

You are entitled to this opinion, but you can't escape the consequences of it if you elect Clinton! Have you NOT seen pics of what's happening in Venezuela? Do you NOT know what they are really planning when they take power again?!

LtCol Brian Ford - I did not mention Hilary Clinton. I asked folks to vote in new people to replace the ones setting in both houses. I really would like to see "WE THE PEOPLE" get control of our government as President Lincoln said in the Gettysburg address: "A GOVERNMENT OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, AND FOR THE PEOPLE SHOULD NOT PERISH."

PO2 David Allender - Your version of WeThePeople is hardly going to be mine! You say you want NEW people in Government but don't bother to tell us what kind of people you want. When I say that, I definitely specify, righteous conservatives for a good reason. You blaming Donald Trump for everything bad in the world, it is obvious you are a liberal and have no power of reason. I notice you didn't say that you didn't vote for Hillary. You are afraid of Trump's stance against the liberal agenda because it will/has put a stop to your takeover of America. If you can't tell what Obama did to this country and still seek more like him, then you have no idea what your quotation is all about.

LtCol Brian Ford - New pwoplw that will be working for the people, not the party. I', sorry I didnn'st make myself clear on that point. My Basis is on President Linmcvoln's Gettysburg adress, "A government of the peole, by the peole and for the people shall not perish. The people in both houses today are only for the party they reopresent, not the people they are suppose toi reprensent.
