And this is somehow news? We're shipping all our jobs overseas, professional athletes are valued and paid higher than people who actually contribute to the economy and illegal immigrants send millions of dollars out of the US economy annually. Surprise...

No surprise here, anyone paying attention to global matters could see this was coming, but I know there are plenty of people that do not look into things beyond their back yard.

Not surprising considering how much is outsourced to China or "made in China."

They were bound to outpace us eventually, but we have assisted them with the legalization of cheap labor that sends much of it's money back home and the outsourcing of many jobs. If American leaned more towards Capitalism and away from Corporatism we might have a chance to catch back up and surpass China.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! I have been saying that for a couple of years now, but did not use the word Corporatism (I like that, it clearly reflects the weakness of the Hill to the purse of corporate America). I'm convinced that true capitalism still works when the consumer gets to be the driving force. unfortunately greed gets in the way and tends to mess it up a bit. I think we need a cultural change leaning towards putting others needs before our own.

Uber is a perfect example. It exploded onto the scene with the ability to be accessed by anyone, fair prices, quick service, etc.

Now I read (and cannot find the article again) that Uber is working with the government to pass regulations in it's favor. I will try to find it.
