Now here we have a real threat to our national security.
We have been fighting a war with a near peer adversary by proxy, since 24 FEB 2022. The only thing of which I approve in the handling of this war by the Biden Administration is that American military personnel are not being lost. Nevertheless, the current policy has led to the significant depletion of our stores of advanced weaponry that were designed (in part) to reduce regional or numerical advantages, of likely near peer adversaries such as China, Iran, and Russia.
The Taiwan / North China Sea "domination" effort by the Peoples Republic of China is leading to a daily increase in tensions with the US and our allies. Now we are actively considering the deployment of major military formations to Taiwan. If we actually do this, we are inviting the wholesale destruction of these divisions and brigades as our current doctrine of tactical withdrawal will only serve until we reach the opposite side of the island. We also cannot deploy the 101st Airborne for high mobility operations as it is unavailable due to its recent deployment to Ukraine’s border.
We need to immediately turn off the ‘gun’ spigot, and force Ukraine back to the table with Russia. The post 1992 plan for the US to be able to fight two near peer regional adversaries ceased being reasonable in the late 1990's.

I fully support Ukraine's right to exist as a nation and as a people. I don't believe in making them sit at the table with the country that violated their borders and sovereignty. They should keep sticking it to Russia until they either force Russia to withdraw or until they are no longer able to fight. I also do not believe we should have depleted our stockpiles in support of them. I have nothing against Ukraine and want them to succeed against Russia, but they are not an ally.
As for Taiwan, I fully support their right to exist and I consider them an ally. I don't believe any free country can say they are prepared and ready to fight. China is more prepared and can be because they control every facet of their society. Even if they weren't ready, we wouldn't know.

Ukraine should be allowed to make the decision on when/if to negotiate. They are doing a goid job defending their autonomy in protecting their Independence.
Regarding Taiwan... "...Moreover, besides the initial acquisition strategy, former Taiwanese generals are speaking out to raise the issue of existing troops’ availability and preparedness. Former Taiwanese Air Force Lt. Gen Chang Yang-ting said in an interview that he does not believe Taiwan could fend off Chinese forces the way Ukrainians are pushing Russians out.
“We’re not prepared enough. We’re good at boasting how prepared we are, but we’re actually not. For the Ukrainians, we can’t compare to their patriotism and their willingness to protect their country,” said Chang, who was the deputy commander of the Air Force before he retired two years ago. “The government’s misleading Washington,” he said, referring to the government of Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen. “We’re definitely not ready, especially in terms of military morale.”...
Therefore... I don't view our continuing to support Ukraine as an issue... at this time.

As long as the USA is supplying billions upon billions of dollars of our military equipment and gifts of money to run their government, we should have a really BIG vote over what they do and when.
If they desire complete autonomy as to whether or not they will negotiate, then they can start fighting the war and running their government with their own money and weapons.
It's a lot like when you lived at home. When your parent(s) were footing the bill you met their expectations as to what you were supposed to be doing. When you moved out and started PAYING FOR EVERYTHING then you could do what you wanted to do when you wanted.
Ukraine is alive today because of the the largesse of the American taxpayer. It's NOT BIDEN'S MONEY! It's OUR money!

Geez that’s not what Blinken told the Chinese yesterday! He basically said we’d just let China have Taiwan! Prediction: China invades Taiwan before the next election and declares war on the US. We have a Manchurian Candidate in office who is owned by China! There’s no way (besides cheating) that Biden wins a 2nd term so watch us go to war so he can postpone the next election. China has him and the Dems right where they want them!
