Has anyone here heard of, or has, the USCCA insurance? What are your thoughts on it if you do have it?

SGT Gregory Lawritson - Yeah the NRA doing what they did was kind of low and I am not really happy with it. However, USCCA said they still support the NRA and can't really get mad at them as seeing them as competition for their own insurance they are starting. It's upsetting, but it is what it is. I also feel the same for anyone that tries to forcibly enter my home as well.

SMSgt Thor Merich - That is a very true comment, and you have to use "in fear of my life" or bad things will happen. To those that do carry, knowing when to pull your weapon is just as important as knowing how to use it. But when you do, knowing what to say is just as important.

SGT Gregory Lawritson - In Utah I know that you can only get your CFP (Concealed Firearms Permit) at one location for the whole state. Dealing with them is not that bad for me, as I am in the city they are located, and they are only just down the street. I do know that for some people, like those in Saint George, southern part of the state, its a little more of a pain, but having one agency run it seems to make things go rather smoothly, at least from what I have seen.

I know that my father, who lives in Idaho, has a Utah non-resident permit.

I know that Utah is one of two permits that cover 37 different states in America, Florida being the other. Here is some information from the BCI here in Utah that will be able to answer that question. But as long as I go through the proper channels I could get a permit with other states easily.

Check out NRA Carry Guard. Way better. Even comes with training (optional).

I know that the USCCA does go over quite a few things and you can get books and videos on how to defend yourself and your loved ones. As far as actual, in person training, if the NRA is offering that, that's cool, but I have been USCCA so long I don't know if I am willing to switch at this time. However, I am more than willing to compare the two services and see what the difference is between them. Didn't know they offered training, need to see what that is.

Like most things American, the choice is yours brother. Both are the best protection going these days. USCCA has been around the longest. Being an NRA life member, I'm a little biased. LOL Best of luck and stay safe Amigo.

Yes, my wife and I are both Platinum Plus Lifetime members. Obviously, we think this is a worthwhile investment.

SPC Jeremy Gardner - The lifetime membership isn't always advertised, but it's about $3k, minus what you've already paid for this year, and you can do a payment plan.
