Last week, Acemoglu and Restrepo released a new study that suggests as much as 70 percent of the rise of inequality in America since 1980 is due to machines devouring jobs previously done by middle and low-income workers."

I don't want to see machines replace people but that has happened here. Farms got large and machinery with it. One person with the big machinery can do more field work in a dad than my dad could do in 10 days. no more small guys around here
